Back from trip
I loved my trip west!!!! Words just can't convey all the fun we had. I would go again tomorrow if I had the chance. I had very limited access to the internet, so couldn't do any posting. I managed to check Emails a couple of times, but just couldn't take 'puter time to post to Blog. I wish I could have done a daily summary of our trip. After you come back it is sort of hard to fill in the days.
We got back on April 11 and before I could get caught up on my email and think about blog my mother was put in the hospital and I needed to go be with her a few days. She wanted me to stay longer, but I was ready to get home for awhile. More than 4 or 5 days anyway. I have managed to catch up on email, except for jokes received, and decided to at least say I was back. Hubby is still at the lake so I am taking some night time to catch up a little otherwise when he is here he is on the 'puter at night. I want to post some of my pictures and write a little about what we did. The pictures are in the digital camera at the lake with hubby, so pics will have to wait. I need to get out a map and see where we stayed each night and the route we took there and back before I try to recreate anything.
I did finish an afghan for Barb, sister-in-law, but didn't take a pic. Guess I will have to see if she can take one for me. I started it in Vancouver, Wa. worked on it on the trip back to Milwaukee and finished it after we got back. I thought it was the least I could do for her since she was nice enough to let me accompany her. The yarn was a black, grey and white NOLO from Walmart, purchased in Florida, so it is well traveled. The pattern was just a single crochet for one row and then double crochet. What with working with black and in the van while traveling it didn't turn out too straight on the edges, but I figure once her dogs get a hold of it it won't matter too much. It was still very pretty and very soft. I just loved to feel it, not especially work with it, just feel. Now I have started a lavender afghan. I have had that yarn forever and finally decided what to do with it. I also took it with me on our trip so it is also well traveled.
Will try to get my map, calendar and pictures together and post some more about our trip later. All for now.
