CROCHET SLUMP

At long last my crochet slump is over!!!!! I don't know what was wrong with me before Christmas, but I just couldn't get into any crochet. I would try to think of something that I wanted to do and couldn't think of a thing. Nothing even caught my attention much less excite me. Then a couple of weeks ago I decided to finally put together the scrap afghan that I had started early last spring. I don't know if that was what inspired me or it was the longer days or what, but I started seeing lots of things that I wanted to make. Before I had to make a decision one of my daughters-in-law (Whitney) asked me to make an afghan for a friend of hers that is expecting a baby. Before I got that project done I ordered the Heavenly Afghans from Leisure Arts. After it came, and I saw that the Angel Border afghan was indeed the one I had seen at the Bed & Breakfast in Mount Airy, NC, I couldn't wait to get started on it. However before I even got half way through with the baby afghan Lacie (a granddaughter) asked me to make her another scarf. She wants it long enough to wrap around her neck and both ends hang almost to the floor. Thank goodness she is only a little over 5 ft. The bad part is that she picked out the yarn. A really thick nubby one. I haven't worked with that yarn before, so don't know how it will go.
