As Promised

Barb and I as we begin our journey west. I couldn't believe when we woke up to a snow storm. Well not storm, but flurries. It would be a storm in SC. The trip across Wisconsin was uneventful, we left around 6 AM. Stopped about 6 blocks from house to get breakfast. Set the tone for the rest of the trip. What fun we had. The next picture is crossing the Mississippi River. We stopped on the Minnesota side to take a rest, walk the dogs and take some pictures. It was rather chilly, but no longer snowing. Although there was still snow on the ground in some areas.
To be continued..........

Trip update

I wanted to post some pics from my trip, but DH left the digital camera at our lake house. He went back down there yesterday, so hopefully when he comes home Sunday he will have it with him. I need to get the 'doings' down soon or I will forget half of it. Not forget, but it won't be as fresh.
I have been working on a light purple afghan in a really open stitch. It is going to be really pretty, but naturally I don't have quite enough yarn and I have had it so long and bought it when it was on clearance so can't get any more. I think I will do the border in a darker purple and see how it looks. I am an expert at frogging (ripping out) so if I don't like it I can just undo it. Will post a pic when I get it done. No telling how long that will be!!
